Michelina’s Donates over 30,000 meals to Foodbank
The family owned Select Brands Pty Ltd, exclusive distributors of Michelina’s in Australia, has recently donated over 30,000 frozen meals to Foodbank branches throughout Australia.
“It’s a big commitment for a small family owned company like ours, and comes on the back of a smaller donation of over 8,500 meals in 2011”, said Steve O’Shannessy, owner of Select Brands Pty Ltd. “Foodbank, and its volunteers do an excellent job, and we are proud to have been able to offer our support”.
About Foodbank
Foodbank is a not-for-profit, non-denominational organisation that seeks and distributes food and grocery industry donations to welfare agencies which feed the hungry.
Foodbank is recognised as the largest hunger relief organisation in Australia and helps feed over 35,000 people every day through 1,700 welfare agencies. They distribute over 12 million kilos of donated food each year to needy families.
